About Bible In Motion
Each weekly module will include historical background, the Reese Chronological Outline daily readings, related testimonies, and questions for reflection. While the use of a Reese Chronological Bible is encouraged, it is not necessary. All scripture references are listed, and may even be downloaded in a variety of translations from the church website link. The page numbers listed and outline listed in “The Script” correlate with The Reese Chronological Bible.
Within the outline itself are a number of unique features. The length of a person’s life is usually noted at their death. The genealogy of Christ is listed in numerical order (i.e., Birth of Terah – 46th Gen.). The specific prophecies concerning Christ are denoted by a (P). In the Gospels, the lessons, or discourses of Jesus are denoted by a D, the miracles by an M, and his parables by a P. And finally, some dating documentation is noted as well. When using a date from the Klassen Chronology, a K will be listed; when using the Reese Chronology, an R will be listed; and when the dating is approximate, a C will be listed. You may also notice segments of the outline headed as “Parallel Passages.” These simply mean that multiple events occurred simultaneously, but are mentioned in separate scriptures, so they will be listed side by side.
Every verse of the Bible is listed in The Reese Chronological Bible. By reading this year-long devotional guide, you will complete a full reading of God’s Holy Word. May God bless the reading of His Word!
